None of the above, of course, means Zippy necessarily knows
how to set good routes on indoor walls. However, climbing on all types of rock
DOES help one to have a greater range of creativity when combined with years of
experience of setting indoors. For the past twelve years Zippy has climbed and
worked on many walls all over the country. He has set at virtually every World
Cup event held in Britain since their conception in Leeds in 1989. He has set
for the British Indoor Climbing Championships, the Foundry International
Bouldering Open, the British Bouldering Championships and the Southern Indoor
Bouldering League amongst many others. He has also worked at many walls as a
general route and boulder problem setter at all grades and is an officially
accredited BMC routesetter so, whatever your wall, big or small, go ahead give
