Professional Climbing tuition for Schools, Colleges and Universities by Johnny Dawes (SPA qualification)

Johnny Dawes the internationally-renowned climber - famous for the Channel 4 film "Stone Monkey" and the first E8 and E9 climbs in the UK - has taught more than 2000 people in six countries during the past 3 years. His SPA (Single Pitch Award) qualification enables him to offer his climbing workshops to students. Workshops take place at school, college, university or a local climbing wall. Outdoor workshops lasting from a few hours to a whole weekend are also possible.

Experience has taught him that everyone's climbing ability is far greater than they realise. By finding the equivalent of the "racing line" in the move and practising it, improvement is assured through movement awareness exercises and an appreciation of one's centre of gravity.

Our experience suggests that, not only will your students be inspired, but also they will probably be climbing two grades higher after working with Johnny!

The approximate cost of an indoor group workshop is £300 for 3 hours intensive tuition for a group of 10-15 students. Johnny is happy to work with mixed ability groups.

Johnny also gives a highly entertaining lecture including footage of climbs such as Downhill Racer one handed. You may wish to combine the workshop with a lecture to a larger audience such as a Key Skills group or climbing club.
